Maintaining Joy and Happiness

How do we keep ourselves feeling fulfilled, happy, and joyful?

This is a very important question, as there are a lot of challenges that come to us and many things that can get us down. But there is a way to maintain feeling good.

To feel full, satisfied, at ease, light, joy, love, and happiness is something we create by doing what we love.

Activities and a mindset to know that we are okay – no matter what is going on. To do things, and focus on what you love.

There are two kinds of people. First, there are people that already know what they love and like, for example, some people love tennis, baking, gardening, or cooking. When they do these hobbies they feel happy. It might be getting in nature, traveling, or baking. These people know what they like and they do that, and it helps them.. maybe it is surfing, boating, or yoga.

Then there are people that don’t know what can fulfill them. With these kinds of people it is necessary to remember what they like and used to like, as a child, hobbies that we couldn’t pursue, or never did. Try them on now, and see what lifts you up.. or try and ask your family/friends what they see you doing, and maybe recognize something in which we didn’t do yet.

Try things, look on YouTube, take a class, try to do different things and find out what makes you happy, what makes you fulfilled.

Having hobbies and living true to yourself is the path to maintaining joy and happiness, no matter what is happening you are holding onto something that fulfills you, and its important to always check in with that, especially if you feel a bit down or lost tap back in, and maintain feeling good.

Introspection

Now it’s a good time to look within ourselves and find introspection.

Sometimes we need to stop and think and look within ourselves. To think about what we want to do, what we have done, what we want to achieve, and what we have already achieved. To take time and recognize, and realize what we want to change, how we can change, and who can help us.

Truly going within yourself … ask the questions. Especially if something happens to you that you don’t understand. Look within and ask what you need to do, what you can learn, and what you have been going through?

Ask yourself, where am I lazy? Where do I have doubt? Sit with yourself without judgment or beating yourself up over whatever comes. You can sit and write it down, or just take a couple minutes a day to let yourself process. Without judging anyone, and especially not judging yourself.

Just look at your life, and ask yourself honestly how can I improve, how can I feel more relaxed and happy with my life? How can I feel fullness, a satisfied feeling within myself?

Know that you are achieving things and you are taking your time. You take it step by step to get to this feeling of satisfaction.

Sitting with yourself and looking inward is a step to that process. Just thinking about how we want our life to be better. How to feel more relaxed, happy, to feel like you are achieving something. Feeling full, at ease. To sit with yourself and find some introspection is step one.

Again, this is the best time to do it and let in new, a fullness, blooming, open sky kind of feeling.

Our Thoughts

A reminder about controlling our thoughts.

When situations come to us that are difficult, we get unfortunate news, or a dilemma comes into our reality – the key thing to do is to notice our thoughts.

Usually, we start to create a movie with our thoughts. We start to worry, we start to be sad, etc. The minute that we have this situation – when the thoughts pour in and the fear movie is created – notice it, and change it to the good.

For example, right now most of us have experiences with Covid. Most of the people played into the fear mentality. Being scared, fear of death, fear of sickness. The news plays into this too. Change the movie for you, notice the good. Not ignoring what is going on but focusing on the good that exists for you too. You can’t change what happened or happens, but you can change your thoughts which will change your reality. What can I do about it?

What can I do to protect my health and wellness? This is just an example of covid because it happened not too long ago, but it can be with anything.

When challenges come at us, sometimes they can push us to do things that we really wanted to do, changing things in our life that we postponed. Focus on the good.

Where is your mind and what direction is it going in? This is what comes to you, and what the new future creates. So the key is to notice your thoughts and to constantly remind yourself to change them for the good.

Stop the bad movie and try to find something else, the better story to focus on. Focus on the good thoughts, and that is the beginning of manifesting something good. It is better to create good things.

Ask yourself why has it happened to me? How can I change it for the better? Create a good movie/picture/mindset – it holds so much power for everything in your life.

Your mind and your thoughts are what create the future, on what is going to happen to you, controlling your thoughts can bring good into your life, those thoughts are the first step to creating.

Understanding Fear

Where does fear come from?

I know I have spoken about fear before. This is a reminder of recognizing fear and also understanding where fear comes from.

When we feel scared or worried to do things, when we feel afraid of moving or taking action, when we feel afraid of the world/environment we live in, whatever it may be.

Some people are afraid to swim, to take an elevator, or drive over a bridge. Others are afraid of love, failure, or broader feelings.

Where does it come from? It comes from a couple places, fear comes from a place of the unknown, we have never done something before, so this natural human instinct of fear comes in of just not knowing.

Sometimes fear also comes from control. Of wanting things to happen a certain way. We have to release the control to release the fear.

Lastly, we can have fear, from memory from a past life, or childhood. Fear from the past, we have a bad experience and are afraid to do something again. A relationship, a hurt, a loss, a letdown, etc. Understanding the past and how we can do it differently is how we move through fear that is in the past.

It doesn’t matter the source, what matters is the understanding and the learning from it. Briefly letting your mind go back to this time, and this time looking at it with compassion and working to understand ourselves, what we were going through, understanding what scared us, and if it comes again, we know what to do, we can go again through that differently this time.

Past fear is most often a memory in our subconscious mind, when we experience something that doesn’t feel good, and now in the present we are scared from that and experience fear. We are afraid because of a bad memory. Sometimes we have to look back to understand, but then the key is to let go of it, realize it is in the past and realize it is not necessarily that it’s going to happen again the same way.

Release the fear, let go.

You’re okay. It can be different now.

Defining What it Means to be in the NOW

When I say be in the Now, I want to remind you why and where that expression comes from.

The truth is, the past and the future do not exist, everything else beyond right now is an illusion. What is outside of us right now in the physical exists, nothing else really does, it is just a memory from the past, from a recognition, a vision, a thought, the past, even just the past from yesterday.

So whenever our mind wanders outside of the now, we need to decide what to do with the memories that come up, and also the fearful thoughts that come up.

If you have good memories, it is always good to hold onto them. Bad memories, on the other hand… we need to understand why they come into our lives and realize the challenges that come to our lives are for us to learn from them, and let them go.

The challenging memories or fearing what is next do not help us, remember none of this exists in the now. None of this serves you now.

I just want you to understand this, for when I say live in the NOW, if now is good, then tomorrow is going to be good.

All the worrying about the past or the future creates a different reality that may not be good. When these memories or fearful thoughts come up, it is best to look around you for positive good things, and focus on the NOW, right here in this moment, it is all we have, the rest is an illusion and a way for you to learn and let go.

Competition

No matter the age, humans tend to look at life as a competition. If we are a child, a teenager, or an adult, we think in the headspace of comparison and competition. Who has a bigger car, house, job, better relationship, etc.?

Children are always comparing from an early age. They learn where their friends live, what their parents do, what they like, who they look like, and what they need to get better at.

There is a negative side to competition, and also a positive way to use it which is to realize it is good to be in competition to pull yourself from yourself. Each one of us on this planet has something unique that belongs to our soul. It is our own individual lessons, and we only need to evolve ourselves, by giving what we can.

Just be yourself, take your potential, and know yourself. Be able to understand what you are going for, and why, for you.

From what you have to offer, give. To teach to volunteer, to donate, to give from ourselves. Time, money, love.

The universe gives us more so that we can share more. This is the way that we need to teach our children and the people that are around us when it comes to competition. The more we grow and evolve the more we can give, which in turn allows us to get more, eliminating the need for competing with anyone but ourselves and our own journeys.

Every one of us is unique and has something to offer. To look at each other with the knowledge of this, and the reminder that there are good qualities in all of us, we are here to give and expand, not compete… it will help ease our minds as we look at other people’s lives, and feel competitive we can know why and bring it back to ourselves.

The Immune System – Vitamin D

A reminder about the Immune System and Vitamin D.

Not long ago I understood how important is the Vitamin D. You can find a lot information about that today.

Our Vitamin D is an essential vitamin that boosts the immune system.

When our Vitamin D is at its perfect level, it is like a defense against sickens, bacteria, and negativity. You feel better, lighter, happier, and your immune system is strong.

We need to check at least twice a year with our doctor, to do a blood test, to check all our vitamins but also most importantly for the immune health to check the Vitamin D level in particular.

When it is low, you may feel tired, sad, emotional, or sick. Vitamin D supports your muscles, nerves, and immune system. You may feel low and depressed, unlike yourself. We can get Vitamin D from the sun. The sun is where Vitamin D comes from, and the best source of it is to be outside in the sun. Even 15 – 20 min a day, this is the best Vitamin D solution the universe can offer us. They also have Vitamin D in the markets – supplements that you can take when you feel you need a boost.

Take Vitamin D supplements, especially in the periods where your levels are very low. There is so much information about why Vitamin D is important, and this is something that has really helped me, feel balance, peace, strength, and to handle things with ease… to not be emotional about everything that comes up in our lives.

It is a really simple solution and reminder that we can easily add into our lives. A simple supplement and making time to be outside in the sun for little moments throughout the day.

Releasing Control

I want to talk about releasing control. Usually, we think we can control everything, and we want to be in control of the outcomes with aspects of life such as jobs, or relationships. In your mind, you think this is what will happen, and the truth is we block ourselves by trying to control.

In your mind, you have an idea how things are going to happen, and sometimes we try to control things because of fear because we are afraid.

We are afraid of how it is going to happen for us, what is going to happen, and how it is going to be.

When you release control, something new and something amazing can come in. By letting go of the fear and the control, we can win a lot, we create space for things to come, and we can let in what is truly meant for us.

This is the big thing we can do for ourself to get better and to get more in alignment, a deeper understanding of yourself, let go of control.

Any situation we have in life we can approach it with an openness to facing the unknown and realizing it is okay to not know, release, and let it be, let go of the control, and watch
how you may be surprised how you can handle things.

Life brings many new things to us, and we often times want it to be a certain way. For example controlling children, controlling the outcome of a first date, controlling the outcome of a new job, controlling a new city and what happens when you move there.

When we try to control things we have expectations and when it doesn’t happen as we think it should, we feel afraid.

Release the control, and let the universe guide us, show us different ways, different ways of being, and all that can come to us when we let go of trying to control how we think it “should” be.

Dealing with Anxiety/Worry

People often ask me, how do I not be anxious and worry about things that are going to happen in the future?

If you are worried about money, about losing your job, about the state of the world, about what will happen next, or feeling nervous about what is ahead… this blog post is for you.

First, we need to control our thoughts and really ask ourselves why these thoughts of worry are coming to us. Notice them. Ask yourself where are these thoughts coming from, and look around and realize you are fine now, so you will be fine later. Try to release the thought which is bringing anxiety and worry and realize you are not your thoughts. The main thing is to control your thoughts and come back to a different
better feeling thought.

Second, when we worry about the future it is because there is something that we are missing in the ‘right now’. You can do something about this. We all have personal challenges that we go through for a reason in which we are meant to learn from them.

We are meant to learn and go through these challenges to learn a lesson and grow inside so we know what to do next time.

All the unknown that brings anxiety and worry, happen when we don’t trust the creator/the creation. Each one of us need to see what is bringing the anxiety and how we got into this situation, and in that situation in the ‘right now’ you can tell yourself about the now: right now you are okay, find the peace and calm in the now.

The worry and anxiety does nothing for you. It will not bring in more money, or a better state of life, so change your thinking and focus on something good in the present moment. This is what will lead you to actions you can take to get out of the place you are in now and into a better one, or keep what is working in your life so you can attract more of that.

Trust that things will work out. Control your thoughts, and realize right now you are good, so in the future you will be too.

The Immune System

A reminder of the immune system and how to get it in a strong vitality and balance.
How do we do this?

When we are in balance, if someone tells us anything negative – it doesn’t bother us. If someone gets the flu and is near us, we don’t get it.  We don’t get it because we are in balance and our immune system is strong. We have peace inside us, we feel calm. Our goal is to be in this place of balance.

If our vitality is high, our immune system is strong. Here are a few essential things we can do to keep our vitality high:

First, look at what we eat. Watching what we eat and put into our bodies is very important. Each person needs to check in with their daily diets and make sure you are eating clean, drinking enough water, and getting nutrients. Vegetables, fruits, fresh green juice, natural foods have a high vitality. Be honest, more greens, less carbs, less alcohol, less sweets, more natural foods that bring life and energy. See what you eat every day, and try to add in or take out what isn’t giving you that life and vitality.

Second, exercise, make sure you move your body each day. A walk, yoga, swimming, running, finding some way to move your body daily. It doesn’t have to be a huge massive workout, but even just walking and moving outside can be so beneficial.

Third, check your Vitamin D, vitamin D is filled with vitality from the sun. If you can be in the sun for 15 – 20 min a day that works, if you cannot, take a supplement and every couple of months check the vitamin D in your body.

Make sure you are getting enough sleep and it’s good to sleep around 10pm. Vitamins, herbs and supplements can help with this and finding natural remedies to help boost your system.

Lastly, the people around you/your environment. Who you surround yourself with boosts your vitality. If you are around people who lift you up, support you, are positive, love you, and make you feel good this will boost your vitality.

The environment/being in a good place, close to friends, nature, home, family, all of this plays into your vitality and really makes a difference to balance and having a strong immune system.
